PARALEGAL/OFFICE ASSISTANT

Must be able to work independently.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, demonstrate a high level of professionalism; and feel comfortable interacting with individuals of all professional levels.

Must exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills.

Ability to adapt and learn quickly and work well under pressure.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook software.

Ability to speak Spanish not necessary but a definite plus

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met, creating new Google firm calendar, entering dates, alerting lawyers, etc.

Responsible for all files, creating files and then scanning files to cloud and maintaining files, etc.

Responsible for assembling all filings including exhibits, etc.

Any other paralegal work that does not involve client contact and billing.

Ability and willingness to be flexible with work schedule.

Other duties as assigned.

Enthusiastically and appropriately greet clients/visitors and convey this enthusiasm over the telephone.

Answer heavy volume of telephone calls, route calls, and take messages.

Utilize general office machines (fax machine, copier, and typewriter).

Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail including bulk mail.

Ensures facility is consistently kept in orderly, well-maintained condition.

Assist staff with administrative duties as requested.

Type, scan and convert Word documents as needed

Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others; maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees.

Must process a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs., stand and/or bend for long periods of time occasionally.

Mental capability to solve problems and concentrate for extended period of time.
