Dear Paralegal Institute Paralegal Students:

Are you aware that you have a local paralegal association in your own backyard?  There are a
great number of reasons to join National Capital Area Paralegal Association, especially as a
student!

The benefits of networking with your future colleagues are endless.  It is an opportunity to not
only meet practicing paralegals in various specialty areas, but a great way to network and
discover connections with local paralegals.

Our paralegal association also offers a job bank, where employment opportunities are posted on
our website on a regular basis.  You can even follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and
LinkedIn) and stay connected with us.  We also offer opportunities for student members to be
involved in the leadership areas of our association.  You can be involved in a committee, or even
help plan an event or write an article for our newsletter.

The National Capital Area Paralegal Association (NCAPA) is also a member of the National
Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. (NFPA).  By virtue of being a student member of
NCAPA, you will be a student member of NFPA.  One of the greatest benefits you will receive as
a member of NFPA is the National Paralegal Reporter.  This bi-monthly publication contains
informative articles about certain practice areas of law, regulation, and paralegal career
development that brings you the latest on the national issues facing paralegals today.

Our student membership fees for one year are $60.00 and this includes your membership to
NFPA.  If you would like more information or an application, please contact us
at slcoordinator@ncapa.com or visit our website at ncapa.com.

I strongly encourage you to join NCAPA and get a jump-start on the rest of your paralegal
career.  For additional information, please see the attached flyer.

***Please note that Paralegal Week is the first week of October for members. Get your student
membership fees paid to join the awesome events (seating is limited).  Paralegal Week events will
be a great way to get to know existing members and talk to other paralegals about NCAPA and
their experiences.  Remember:  networking is key and important!  I would love to see you
there.***

Further details are provided on our website.

Very Truly Yours,
National Capital Area Paralegal Association
