Friedlander Misler, PLLC (Friendship Heights METRO) seeks full-time Paralegal/Legal
Secretary to support commercial real estate attorneys. Position requires some experience in the legal field.
Candidate must be upbeat, enthusiastic and responsible, able to support practice group activities and have an excellent work ethic. Candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and be proactive. Candidate must be proficient in Word, Power Point and Excel.
Prefer candidate with experience in the following areas:
Review of title commitments, exceptions, and surveys, identifying issues and
Ability to review contracts and prepare critical date memos
Coordination of closings in conjunction with supervising attorney
Attend to post-closing matters, including creation of closing binders and monitoring post-closing deliveries or requirements
Prepare loan and lease summaries
Order and review Planning and Zoning Reports and municipality zoning letters
Prepare real estate closing documents for attorney review (deeds, assignments, bills of sale, resolutions, etc.)
Entity formation and prepare organizational and authority documents
Prepare UCC financing statements, order UCC lien and other searches and prepare summaries of results
Work with counsel on loan transactions, on behalf of borrowers and lenders
